friday fantasy

I am so blessed in my life and I love where I'm at - struggles, triumphs and everything in between - but sometimes I think about the road I didn't take. You know, the alternate life I could be living if I'd chosen a different path.

So here's an ode to my dream life.

I would live here
{a few years ago, Christine and I spent my birthday in my favorite city and when we were walking to Mama's for breakfast, we passed this building. I told her I would live here one day}

I would brunch here with my dear friend Mari and her gorgeous baby girl

I would row in these with this group

I would practice yoga here

Have a wonderful, dreamy weekend, lovelies! Make sure you take every opportunity afforded to you!

killer kitchens

Looks like I've been focusing a lot on all things lovely and not so much on modernity. So as we head into the weekend, I figured I would share some fabulously clean, contemporary kitchens. Maybe it will spark a desire in you to update your kitchen or another room in your house.

What are your plans for the weekend? I'm hoping to head to the theater with some of my teammates to check out The Social Network. I hear it has some great rowing in it (it takes place at Harvard, after all). You'll have to excuse me if I geek out.

Happy weekend, lovelies!

copenhagen haven

As I mentioned here, I traveled to Copenhagen a few years ago. I was so excited visit a totally new country and region. I did so much research to create my list of must-sees and must-dos. That list still exists and when I get a chance to go back, I'll make sure to check off each one (with photos!).

Until then, I can travel there on the Internet.

A few things I was most excited about checking out were the Scandinavian fashion and design. Clean, modern, personal and functional.

First up, a look at the fashion.

~the shoes, the scarf, the coat... utter perfection~
~do you think men in the U.S. will be rocking this look in winter?~

Clean, modern lines serve as inspiration for the quintessential Scandinavian home. Let's take a tour, shall we?
